I was born on the outskirts of London, raised in a mobile home, and attended a school of 64 children. It was a world where the teachers were sincere, decent and attentive, which I consider a formative idea in what it means to be seen, and to listen.
At 15, I started a sci‑fi collectibles business, buying and selling toy lines from 80's icons such as Star Wars, Thundercats and Ghostbusters. I built a website in HTML (novel at the time), traded with the US via a ‘new’ auction site called eBay, and ran stalls at conventions across the UK, which was a crash course in how to build demand, tell stories, and sell face‑to‑face as well as online.
Music come in as a tour de force at 18. I toured the world as a live session musician, immersed in the worlds of rebellion, loud music and black metal.  I supported acts such as The Damned and Rancid, received artist endorsements from Fender and ENGL, and appeared in publications such as Total Guitar and Guitarist.
Overtime, life on the road transcended into the studio, where I wrote instrumental music for TV, featured on Sky Sports for events such as the Six Nations and the Ashes, as well as Sky Movies, for film trailers such as Avengers: Age of Ultron and John Wick 2. (Orchestration and EQ, are studio terms I still reference with clients.)
To counter the noise, I worked on a farm near Sussex. It had its own brand of ‘raw’ with 2am starts, storms, et al, but between the dirt and camaraderie with the other farmhands, it was a world which nurtured the soul and steadied the mind.
Come full-circle, I dialled back the music for TV and took on a senior communications role at a local business, with a fast track towards King’s Road and Soho, as the strategic lead on accounts such as The Royal Navy, HOKA, Teva and the RAF. It was a return to not just digital, but to storytelling, where culture, commerce and creative meet.
